Accessibility Statement
WinIt Code is firmly committed to digital inclusion, ensuring that our web services, mobile apps, and editorial publications are fully accessible to individuals of all abilities and assistive technologies.
Full Keyboard Operability
All interactive controls, drop-down menus, search utilities, and dialogs are navigable using standard keyboard commands without mouse reliance.
High-Contrast Focus Rings
Active interactive elements feature prominent, high-contrast visual focus indicators (#10D34E) meeting WCAG contrast thresholds.
Alternative Text (alt)
Images, reward badges, charts, and promotional graphics include meaningful alternative descriptions for blind and visually impaired users.
Screen Reader Ready
Proper semantic HTML5 structuring, ARIA roles, landmarks, and headings ensure smooth interpretation by NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Conformance Status & Standards
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
WinIt Code strives to conform to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard across all digital properties, including our web dashboard (winitcode.web.app), our official blog (winitcode.com), and the Android mobile ecosystem.
Technical Measures Implemented
To achieve and sustain compliance, our engineering and editorial teams have deployed the following measures:
- Focus Visibility: Standardized :focus-visible CSS rules ensure keyboard focus indicators are clearly visible on every interactive element without distracting pointer-based navigation.
- Automated Alt Text Safeguards: Our publication CMS features active client-side fallback engines ensuring that any article image without an explicit alt attribute receives informative contextual labeling.
- Color Contrast & Scalability: Color palettes in both Light and Dark themes exceed the minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components. Text supports zoom up to 200% without breakage.
- Keyboard Shortcuts & Escape Triggers: Modals, popups, and dropdown navigation panels can be immediately closed with the Esc key, preventing keyboard traps.
- Semantic Structure: Consistent hierarchical headings (<h1> to <h4>), landmark regions (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>), and clear descriptive anchor tags.
Assistive Environment Compatibility
WinIt Code is engineered for compatibility with modern operating systems, web browsers, and assistive utilities:
- Desktop Browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera.
- Screen Readers: NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) on Windows, JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, TalkBack on Android.
- Input Methods: Standard hardware keyboards, single-switch input devices, on-screen virtual keyboards, and speech-to-text recognition software.
